"Inspiring" is designed to illustrate the effects graffiti and street art has had on the modern art world. For fine artists whose work is pigenholed as something less, nothing can be more inspiring than seeing art genres redefined and bonafide, like street art and graf which for so long was dismissed as vandalism. Celebrating the urban art trifecta, 3 spray nozzles represent street art mingled with 3 brushes representing fine art. Fairey’s winged spray can, Banksy’s rat, and MBW’s brain, sit atop a skateboard for the mobility of the genre.
