The third Sculpturing in the set of 4 works commissioned by the Buzz Aldrin Family Foundation to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, held at NASA's Kennedy Space Center official gala on July 16, 2019. "Discovering" depicts the moment Apollo 11's Eagle lands on the surface of the moon. The ring band depicts the surface of the moon, likening itself to the texture of the West Crater terrain where the spacecraft originally landed.
